From Miranda July's website:

Top Ten Everything Forever
1. Disintegration: Things falling apart, nothing working, everything breaking, get out the broom.
2. Rumble Fish: Be careful Rusty James!
3. Health
4. A new day: The possibility of one. Or of a new second, or a new approach to an old or future second. Hello new friend, we know nothing about each other, what an amazing world of possibility, etc, etc. That whole thing is really popular now I've been noticing, what with the internet and all.
5. The new day can be brought about by sheer will and strength.
6. And discipline.
7. Take a moment to try it now.
8. Another thing that I find works really well is Giving Up.
9. You're supposed to never do that, but you know you do it many times a day and it's spiritual.
10. And finally, the grand finale ultimate thing forever! Itself! The Ultimate! The Best Ever!

Do you remember the movie Rumble Fish? I hope that you do. S.E. Hinton faves Diane Lane and Matt Dillon as Rusty James. Mickey Rourke was Motorcycle Boy. I saw it in New York with my cool uncle because no one else would take me to see it since it was rated R and I was still on the edge of G. The theater was huge, but in a brilliantly broke-down, 80s New York kind of way when people smoked in their seats instead of talking and texting on their cell phones. Two teenagers on a date sat directly behind us. The girl had Cher hair that fell all around her shoulders. I remember she was wearing a baseball shirt from a Journey concert. I kept turning around in my chair to look at her and her boyfriend. He had his arm around her and he held their shared popcorn in his lap. Had I seen the movie Diner at that time, I would have creamed myself knowing what guys apparently do with a popcorn box in their lap while sitting with some bird at the picture show.

The now visually challenging Mickey Rourke was also in another one of my favorite movies, and that is Angel Heart. It's been on my mind lately as it was shot in and around New Orleans mostly, and I was just in New Orleans. More on that trip soon. I'm putting a pin in it for a second.

Hey! Also, Mickey Rourke was the guy in Diner who put his dick in the popcorn! So six degrees.
