My mom told me yesterday that when she is driving in her car, and realizes that she has taken a wrong turn, she thinks that is probably the workings of the all-mighty universe saving her from getting into an accident—one that could have killed her, or worse, had she been on the road she wanted to follow. Still, she's freaking pissed that she's going the wrong goddamn way.
