It's not uncommon to see film or TV crews in my neighborhood along prospect park west or on 7th Avenue. Wayne Wang's "Smoke" was filmed here and "Law & Order" often sets up temporary shop in Park Slope too. It always makes me think I'm that much closer to superstardom.

But sadly, since September 11th Hollywood hasn't been coming around the way so much. That is, until now. Danny Devito is shooting "Duplex" with Ben Stiller and Drew Barrymore right down the street from my humble apartment. Since last week my route to the subway has been lined with trailers, catering trucks and guys wearing fleece pullovers and headsets.

I think i'm going to pull on my gold lamé pants, zip up my black go-go boots and walk down there supermodel style. I'll shout: "Can someone get Barrymore out of my trailer and tell her to put her clothes back on?" Then I'll put out my cigarette with a twist of my heel and say, "I'm ready for my close-up, Devito. Hey, Stiller. You look like you need make-up. Okay, let's go, people. Let's do this!"
